AMK
GD-50 DAYLIGHT DUPLICATING FILM |
|
DESCRIPTION |
 |
AMK
GD-50 is a high density and high speed
true room light film that is sensitive
to ultraviolet light source. GD-50 provides
excellent dot for dot or line contacts
within a wide range of processing conditions.
The stable polyester base of GD-50 assures
good dimensional stability for critical
register work. AMK GD-50 can be processed
with most of the Rapid Access, as well
as tetrastige (4th Generation) chemistries
available in the market and has been
coated on 0,10mm. optically clear, permanently
anti-static polyester base to reduce
dust and pinholes. |

EXPOSURE |
 |
Use GD-50 in contact
printing frames equipped with high,
1-1,5 KW light sources such as high-pressure
mercury lamps or Metal halide lamps
that are placed at least 1 meter away
from the frame.

The example above is presented only
as a guide and is subject to change
with different light sources, frames
and distances. Test exposures should
be carried out in each shop to determine
optimum results. |

DOT
ETCHING |
 |
| Due to its high density,
GD-50 will etch exceptionally well with
most of the common etches in the market.
However, it is strongly recommended
that the etching be mixed and diluted
according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. |
|
 |
|
SAFELIGHT |
 |
It is necessary that
the GD-50 is handled under subdued white,
high illumination yellow light or one
of the safelights indicated below until
it has been developed.
> Encapsulite UV Daylight lamp C-20
white
> 40 watt white fluorescent lamp
with U.V filters
> White fluorescent lamps with yellow
sleeves |

DIMENSIONAL
STABILITY |
 |
| Although the GD-50 gives
the maximum dimensional stability obtainable,
any film will change size slightly in
extreme atmospheric conditions. In general,
extreme heat will cause an increase
in size and extreme cold will cause
a decrease in size. In this respect,
please refer to storage recommendations
for optimum results. |
|
 |
|
PACKAGING |
 |
| AMK GD-50 film is available
in all standard roll and sheet sizes. |
|
 |
|
STORAGE |
 |
| It is highly recommended
that the AMK GD-50 is stored in its
original packaging in cool and dry place,
preferably below 25ºC and 55% relative
humidity. |
