AMK GN-51 DAYLIGHT CONTACT FILM
DESCRIPTION
click to enlarge ...AMK GN-51 is a high density, medium speed and high contrast true room light film that is sensitive to ultraviolet light source. GN-51 provides excellent dot for dot or line contacts within a wide range of processing conditions. The stable polyester base of GN-51 assures good dimensional stability for critical register work. Moreover, the emulsion side of GN-51 is protected by an anti-abrasion coating and the base side carries a non-curl anti-halation layer. In addition, in order to prevent Newton Rings and facilitate vacuum draw down, both the emulsion and the non-curl layers of GN-51 are slightly matted. AMK GN-51 can be processed with most of the Rapid Access, as well as lith chemistries available in the market and has been coated on 0,10mm. optically clear, permanently anti-static polyester base to reduce dust and pinholes.

EXPOSURE
Use GN-51 in contact printing frames equipped with high, 1-1,5 KW light sources such as high-pressure mercury lamps or Metal halide lamps that are placed at least 1 meter away from the frame.

Regardless of the above recommendation, test exposures should be performed in each shop to determine optimum results.
RECOMMENDED RAPID ACCESS PROCESSING
AMK REPRODEV Developer between the temperature of 32~35ºC for an approximate development time of 20~40 seconds.
RECOMMENDED REPLENISHMENT CONDITION
Developer
AMK REPRODEV   390ml/m²
Fixer
AMK REPROFIX   520ml/m²
DOT ETCHING
Due to its high density, GN-51 will etch exceptionally well with most of the common etches in the market. However, it is strongly recommended that the etching be mixed and diluted according to the manufacturer’s recommendation.
SAFELIGHT
It is necessary that the GN-51 is handled under subdued white, high illumination yellow light or one of the safelights indicated below until it has been developed.

> Encapsulite UV Daylight lamp C-20 white
> 40 watt white fluorescent lamp
DIMENSIONAL STABILITY
Although the GN-51 gives the maximum dimensional stability obtainable, any film will change size slightly in extreme atmospheric conditions. In general, extreme heat will cause an increase in size and extreme cold will cause a decrease in size. In this respect, please refer to storage recommendations for optimum results.
PACKAGING
AMK GN-51 film is available in all standard roll and sheet sizes.
STORAGE
It is highly recommended that the AMK GN-51 is stored in its original packaging in cool and dry place, preferably below 25ºC and 55% relative humidity.
