The main frame of AMK grinders is a solid, vibration-free welded construction on a heavy-gauge base, thus giving rigid support to the grinding head. The traversing head has a directly driven grinding wheel from a motor on a carriage mounted on ball bearings. The round grinding wheel enables fast and superb quality grinding on steel, as well as on HSS knives. A complete coolant system with separate pump and filter ensures that the knives are lubricated and kept cool and burn-free even on the toughest cuts.

The rails, guide ways and the steel strips are ground and hardened in solid ways, enabling smooth and precise grinding. The machine is equipped with an automatic down feed system for grinding wheel, play free screws and a scale for quick positioning. Moreover, an electromagnetic swiveling or fixed table with table adjustment function and clamping unit is present on the machine.
